With a huge New Year’s Eve event on the horizon, award-winning music festival Sandance at Atlantis is looking forward to the New Year in more ways than one. Mark Friday 9th March in your social calendar, because Atlantis have confirmed that Snow Patrol will perform live on stage and Calvin Harris behind the decks at the first Sandance of 2012. Sandance sources are staying tight-lipped about the other international DJs on the line up, plus the other live artist for Sandance’s sunset slot, but this has all the makings of a momentous occasion. Both Snow Patrol and Calvin Harris are riding the crest of a wave with Snow Patrol’s new album “Fallen Empires” earning universal acclaim and Calvin’s collaborations with the likes of Rihanna packing dancefloors around the world. It’s always difficult to balance credibility with commercial success but both manage to find the perfect mix, whether it’s with the lasting lyrics of Snow Patrol’s classic “Chasing Cars” or the memorable melody of Calvin Harris’ current floorfiller “We Found Love”.
For eager fans, tickets for March will go on sale at Sandance NYE priced AED 250 in advance and AED 450 VIP, with special ‘golden tickets’ allowing a select few ticket holders to meet some of the Sandance artists.
